Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These terms govern your use of pdfsafe.io, operated by PS Labs, a sole proprietorship based in India. By using this site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
The service
pdfsafe.io provides free PDF tools (merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and similar operations). Most tools run entirely in your browser; PDF to Word is processed on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for exactly which is which and why. No signup is required to use the current tools.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site to:
- Process files containing illegal content, or content you don’t have the right to process.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or repackage the service in a way that circumvents these terms.
- Use automated tools to send excessive volumes of requests to our server-side tool (PDF to Word) in a way that degrades the service for other users.
We reserve the right to block access for any use that violates these terms, without advance notice, particularly where it threatens the availability of the service for others.
Your files
You retain all rights to the files you process through this site. We do not claim any ownership over your content. For the 21 tools that run entirely client-side, we never receive a copy of your file at all. For PDF to Word, we process your file solely to produce the converted output you requested, and delete both automatically — see the Privacy Policy for specifics.
Service availability
This service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may add, change, or discontinue individual tools at any time. We make reasonable efforts to keep the site running and your conversions accurate, but we don’t warrant that every output will be error-free — particularly for PDF to Word, where conversion fidelity depends on the structure of your original document, and complex layouts (multi-column text, tables with merged cells, rotated headers) may not convert perfectly.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PS Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, including (without limitation) data loss, conversion errors, or service interruptions. Your use of this site is at your own risk, and you’re responsible for keeping your own backup copies of any files you process here.
Premium and refunds
We don’t currently offer a paid tier — every tool on this site is free to use today. When a Premium subscription launches, this section will be updated with a clear refund policy before that tier goes live, not after. Until then, no refund terms apply because there is nothing to purchase.
Termination
If you have an account, you can request its deletion at any time by emailing support@pdfsafe.iofrom the email address on the account. Once we process the request, your account record — including your email address and subscription status — is permanently deleted from our systems; this cannot be undone. We don’t currently offer self-service account deletion from within the site itself, though we may add it later.
We also reserve the right to block or restrict access from any user or account that violates the acceptable use terms above, without advance notice, particularly where it threatens the availability of the service for others.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, particularly as new features (accounts, Premium) launch. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
